CPR’s Research Competition 2017
At the recent EMS Gathering in Kinsale, a competition for best research idea was organised by the Centre for Prehospital Research (CPR) Limerick; the prize being attendance at two CPR Research Workshops. Visitors to the CPR stand were invited to put forward any research ideas they thought had the potential for a research project. The competition was adjudicated by Dr Damien Ryan (Director CPR) and Dr Martine Dennekamp (Research Fellow CPR).
Congratulations to Rory Dullard who was this year’s winner. Rory is an Advanced Paramedic currently practicing on behalf of the National Ambulance Service (NAS) in South Tipperary. He joined NAS in 2008, having spent several years prior volunteering and teaching first aid for the Order of Malta Ambulance Corps in Kilkenny. He has previously been involved with the Irish College of Paramedics, serving as Chairman of the Education Committee. He also volunteers as a medical assessor for Rescue Organisation Ireland (a member of the World Rescue Organisation), assessing at national and international RTC extrication and trauma challenges.
CPR will work collaboratively with Rory to help and assist with his research project.
