Consultation Programme
Professionalisation of pre-hospital emergency care practitioners is principally a matter for practicing practitioners.
PHECC can facilitate the process andestablish and maintain a Register. It is however up to each and every individual to buy into and take ownership of the concept. The Code of Professional Conduct and Ethics belongs to the profession and not to PHECC.
A number of initiatives are planned to support or assist the professionalisation agenda in moving forward. PHECC will:
- Write to all members on the PHECC database
- Publish and circulate this special edition Newsletter
- Conduct a national “Professionalisation Tour” to visit all regions and services
- Invite feedback from potential Register members
Feedback
The professionalisation agenda belongs to the profession.
Pre-hospital emergency care practitioners have waited a long time for statutory registration. You are encouraged to participate positively and contribute to building the profession.
Please complete and return the Feedback Cards; these will be circulated on the Professionalisation Tour and also to Trade Union Representatives and directly to your stations. Electronic responses will also be welcome at info@phecc.ie
