EMS Gathering 2013

All those involved in pre-hospital emergency care in anyway are welcome to attend the EMS Gathering which will take place over two days May 15th & 16th in Killarney, Co. Kerry.

 
The morning sessions will comprise of top class national and international speakers giving presentations on a variety of subjects including cardiac arrest, EMS in the future, extrication, HEMS and the French EMS System (SAMU) amongst others.

In the afternoons there will be a suite of options available to participants including EMS competitions, a Social Media & EMS workshop as well as an opportunity for researchers to present their work. As Killarney has a lot to offer in terms of scenery etc, we are taking the opportunity to avail of the beautiful countryside and offering short leisure activities for participants at the EMS Gathering.

There will be trail / hill walks and cycles of varying distances and exertion to suit all on both afternoons. There will also be a boat tour on the famous Lakes of Killarney for those who would like to sit back and take it all in. On the first night a Major Emergency Exercise is taking place and participants are invited to view this spectacle.

The EMS Gathering will culminate with a Banquet dinner with lots of entertainment including a guest appearance of the Pipes & Drums within our Emergency Services. Registration for the EMS Gathering which includes attendance at the two day programme with tea/ coffee and light lunch each day is at the very competitive price of €80.

The Gala Banquet Dinner on the final night is €50.
The venue hub for the EMS Gathering is The Malton Hotel which is offering a special discount to those attending the Gathering.
